December Meeting

Here is some information. Attached is a proposed diagram for leadership roles.

We discussed Leadership role proposals and interviewing new council members. We are having a special meeting on December 22 @ 4:00 pm at city hall. The youth council will be voting on leadership roles for approval. Shortly after we will interview the new candidates.

January 4th 2012 @ 5:00 pm will be the meeting where the youth council will vote on leadership.

Look over the proposed leadership role positions and discuss it amongst the other youth council members before the vote.

Nov. 2 Meeting

For those of you who don't know, this is the new Herriman Youth Council email and if you would like to follow our blog for updates and such it is: http://herriman-youth.blogspot.com/
Everything that was discussed during our meeting today. People who attended, other than Craig: Tiana Rowley, Aerah Ralphs, Isabella Thomaz.

• Nov. 7th, Herriman High School - Meeting with students who are interested in joining the Youth Council; we will be in the commons during A Lunch and B Lunch. You are not obliged to attend.
  
• January 4th - Interviews - 4:00 PM to maybe 7? We will figure it out as soon as we know how many applicants we have
• Orientation date is still being decided, we will update you as soon as we know
• January 26th - Swearing in of the Members - This will be on a Thursday and will be during a City Council Meeting
• Applications to reapply or to apply are due December 16 - You can grab one from the City Building which is located near Herriman High school and the old church; or you can ask Craig if he has one; or if you happen to be attending Herriman High this year, we will have applications Nov. 7 when we meet with the students who are interested
• The selection for next year's Youth Mayor will be on February 1st
• The first official meeting of next year will be February 1st
• December 7th is our next meeting - please inform us if you cannot make it
• Patrick K. Hart has quit for reasons known to himself
